At Horseahaulic World, we value education for riders and horse managers as the key to safe and enjoyable riding for humans and their horses.
I recall a statement, that I will paraphrase, since I can’t seem to remember the source. “If you get frustrated with your horse, you have probably come to the end of your knowledge.” Basically, if you don’t know what to do next, the “don’t know” part is the key to your predicament.
A knowledeable rider is a safer rider.

Think how this applies to just about everything. Knowledge is empowering. We cannot ride in the saddle with you, but we can help to prepare you to ride better and safer on your own.
There is no absolute safety in the world, and particularly around big, powerful animals with tiny brains. But a better understanding of those animals will go a long way toward making your life and theirs longer and happier. In the first pages of this website we noted some situations that led to serious injury, physical, financial and emotional. Maybe reading some of the texts we have found for you will some of you from having similar experiences.

Almost 100 years ago, Professor Jesse Beery thought that horses were being trained all wrong. People were dominating and beating horses into submission. Prof. Beery decided to try to understand them and provide an effective, humane training system for the carriage horse trade. His original works are rendered here, with his hand sketches. His discussion of horse head morphology as it relates to temperament and training needs is still respected today. He set the tone for all of the modern Natural and Humane Horsemanship programs.
